CSIR NET 2024 Eligibility Criteria
To apply for the CSIR NET for the December 2024 Session, a candidate is required to meet the certain eligibility criterias in terms of educational qualification and age limit.
- One must have pursued a Master’s degree in Chemistry, Physics, Life Sciences, Earth Sciences or Mathematics; or have relevant qualifications with at least 55% score from a university/institution recognized by the UGC/AICTE.
- There is no upper age limit for Lectureship; but for the JRF, the individual shouldn’t exceed 28 years, the upper age relaxation is applicable for 3 years for OBC-NCL, and 5 years for SC/ST.
Note: Candidates who are in the final year/semester of their postgraduate degree are also eligible to participate in the CSIR NET for December 2024 session.
CSIR NET 2024 Application Fee
In order to apply for the CSIR NET for December 2024 Session, a Unreserved candidate is required to make payment of ₹1,150/-, the payable amount for the Other Backward Class and Economically Weaker Section is only ₹600/-, and those who belongs to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribes or Person with Benchmark Disability need to pay ₹325/-.
CSIR NET 2024 Exam Date
The exam date for the CSIR NET for December 2024 will be announced soon by the National Testing Agency across the country at various exam centres, individuals need to know that the exam will be administered in January 2025 with an exam time duration of 03 hours in two shifts from 09:00 am to 12:00 noon, and 03:00 pm to 06:00 pm.
