About National Testing Agency UGC NET
The National Testing Agency is an autonomous body. It conducts many entrance examinations across the country. These examinations are conducted only for admission to higher education and government institutions. It was established in November 2017. It comes under the Department of Higher Education of the Ministry of Education of India. The Chairman of NTA is appointed by the Ministry of Human Resource Development. Its government body also includes directors of many institutions and vice chancellors of universities.
